Report: Olivier Giroud close to new Arsenal deal

Arsenal centre-forward Olivier Giroud will reportedly sign a two-year contract extension with the club in the near future.

Olivier Giroud is reportedly close to signing a new contract with Arsenal.

The 27-year-old's current deal at the Emirates Stadium is not due to expire until the summer of 2016.

However, the striker is on the verge of committing his future to the North Londoners by a further two years, according to French publication L'Equipe.

Giroud, who joined the Gunners from Montpellier in 2012, scored 16 goals in 36 Premier League outings last term.
