Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly poised to make a move for Atletico Madrid forward Adrian Lopez.

The Gunners boss is keen to bolster his attacking options and has been credited with an interest in Barcelona frontman David Villa in recent days.

However, according to The Mirror, Wenger has been put off by Villa's high wage demands and has switched his attention to Lopez, who scored the winner as Atletico beat Celta Vigo at Estadio Vicente Calderon on Friday night.

Lopez, 24, is believed to have a £15m release clause in his current contract.
