Report: Arsenal, Chelsea want Atletico Madrid's Saul

Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly interested in Saul, who is currently on loan at Rayo Vallecano from Atletico Madrid.

Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul during the ongoing January transfer window, according to a report.

The Sunday People claims that Arsene Wenger's Gunners have already held talks with the 19-year-old's representatives and want to land him as soon as possible this month.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are said to have sent a scout to watch him in action for Rayo Vallecano, whom he joined on a season-long loan deal from Atletico at the start of the season, against Getafe in La Liga on Sunday.

Blues manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly earmarked Saul as the midfielder to replace Kevin de Bruyne, who could be out of Stamford Bridge this month.

The report claims that Barcelona have also been monitoring the development of the teenager, but the player finds the prospect of playing for Chelsea in the Premier League more attractive.
