Arsenal are believed to be closing in on the signing of Sami Khedira after reportedly agreeing a fee with Real Madrid.
Doubts over the 27-year-old's future at the Bernabeu have risen in recent weeks following reports that the club are poised to sign Bayern Munich's Toni Kroos.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with the midfielder, while Chelsea have also been touted as a possible destination following reports that the Gunners considered Khedira's wage demands as too high.
According to reports in Spain, Arsenal and the European champions have agreed on a £20m fee for Khedira, but the German international is yet to agree personal terms with the North London outfit.
Khedira picked up a World Cup winners' medal on Sunday after Germany secured a 1-0 victory over Argentina at the Maracana in Brazil.
