Real Madrid could attempt to use Dani Ceballos as a makeweight in a bid for Arsenal attacker Gabriel Martinelli, according to a report.

Real Madrid could reportedly attempt to use Dani Ceballos as a makeweight in a bid for Arsenal attacker Gabriel Martinelli during this summer's transfer window.

Ceballos has been on loan with the Gunners since the start of the 2019-20 campaign, making 24 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and two assists in the process.

According to reports in Spain, Mikel Arteta's side could be offered the chance to sign the Spaniard on a permanent deal this summer providing that Martinelli moves in the opposite direction.

The 18-year-old joined Arsenal from Ituano ahead of the 2019-20 campaign and has scored 10 times in 26 appearances during an impressive first season in England.

Madrid have recently been linked with a £70m approach for the Brazilian teenager, while Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be interested.

Martinelli recently revealed that Barcelona rejected the chance to sign him before he arrived at the Emirates Stadium last summer.
