Report: Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal to battle for Wolfsburg's Ricardo Rodriguez

Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez from under the noses of Arsenal, according to reports.

Paris Saint-Germain have expressed an interest in signing Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez, according to reports.

The French champions are having a poor season by their high standards, sitting third in Ligue 1 and having been beaten to top spot in their Champions League group by Arsenal.

According to Calciomercato, PSG are looking to trigger Rodriguez's £21m release clause and beat the Gunners to the 24-year-old's signature.

Italian giants Inter Milan and AC Milan are also said to be interested in signing the Switzerland international, but are reportedly unable to match his release clause.

Rodriguez has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season for Wolfsburg, scoring twice and weighing in with two assists.
