Osimhen agent confirms talks with Mourinho

Victor Osimhen's agent confirms that he has discussed a move to Tottenham Hotspur for the Lille striker, but he will only sign on one condition.

The agent of Victor Osimhen has confirmed that he has held talks with Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho over a deal for the Lille striker.

Osimhen is rumoured to have been lined up by Spurs as a possible replacement for Harry Kane, who has been linked with Manchester United after recently casting doubt on his future.

Arsenal are reportedly set to rival their North London foes for the Nigeria international, but Tottenham have already made contact with the player's camp.

However, agent Ariyo Igbayilola informed the Lilywhites that Osimhen will only join if Kane seals a move away.

"We told Mourinho that if he wants Victor, will Harry Kane be leaving?" he told Nigerian newspaper The Cable.

"If Kane is still playing for Tottenham will Victor play? Because he will always be benched for him.

"Kane is their number one striker and he is the captain of England. All of these will always work for him in the club but at Victor's detriment.

"He needs a club where he will always play full game week in, week out. Not to be kept on the bench."

Osimhen scored 13 goals in 27 Ligue 1 appearances this season and is believed to be valued in the region of £75m.
