The father of Shkodran Mustafi has suggested that the Arsenal defender is content with his contract running down at the Emirates Stadium.
Despite being linked with an exit from the Gunners in the past, Mustafi has now entered his fifth campaign with the North Londoners.
However, injury and the form of other players have left the Germany international as a squad member under Mikel Arteta.
Although talks over a new deal are yet to take place, Kujtim Mustafi has hinted that the lack of progress should not necessarily be regarded as a bad thing.
Speaking to Sport1, Kujtim said: "Nothing is wrong, we can imagine everything because Shkodran is available on a free transfer in the summer."
Mustafi has only made two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.
