Lyon are reportedly preparing to offer Alexandre Lacazette a lucrative contract to return to the club.
The 30-year-old has been a regular for Arsenal during the 2021-22 campaign, making 23 appearances in all competitions, contributing five goals and five assists in the process.
Lacazette's contract at the Emirates Stadium is due to expire at the end of June, though, and he is widely expected to leave Mikel Arteta's side on a free transfer.
According to ESPN, Lyon are hoping to convince the Frenchman to return to the club, rejecting a host of other offers in the process, by offering him a large salary.
Lacazette previously represented the French outfit between 2003 and 2017, coming through the youth ranks at the club before representing the first team on 275 occasions in all competitions.
The centre-forward has managed 70 goals and 33 assists in 193 appearances for Arsenal, meanwhile, since making the move to the Emirates Stadium for a fee in the region of £46.5m.
