Liverpool are reportedly prepared to table an audacious swap deal to sign Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak.
The Sweden international has established himself as one of the best forwards in the Premier League since joining Newcastle from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022.
Isak has racked up 54 goals in 96 competitive appearances during his time with the Magpies, including 48 goals in 75 Premier League matches.
The 25-year-old has been in particular fine form this season, netting 17 goals in 23 top-flight games to leave him in fourth place in the Premier League scoring charts.
As a result of his impressive form, Isak has been linked with a move away from St James' Park amid interest from the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Liverpool to offer Nunez in Isak swap deal
However, a recent report claimed that Barcelona are not in a financial position to recruit Isak, dealing a potential boost to Arsenal and Liverpool in their bid to sign the Swedish striker.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool have come up with an audacious plan to win the race for Isak's signature.
The report claims that the Reds are willing to offer Darwin Nunez in a part-exchange deal which would see Isak complete a move to Anfield.
Newcastle are believed to value their star striker in excess of £100m, with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2028.
Liverpool are seemingly hopeful that they can bring down Newcastle's asking price by offering Nunez as part of their proposal.

Nunez's underwhelming time at Liverpool
Nunez has struggled to find consistency since he joined Liverpool from Portuguese giants Benfica in a £85m deal in 2022.
The Uruguay international has been in and out of Arne Slot's lineup this season, demonstrated by the fact that he has started 16 of his 34 competitive appearances.
Nunez has scored six goals and provided five assists this season, but there is a belief that those contributions have not done enough to convince Slot that he should remain a part of his squad for the long term.
Liverpool are said to value the Uruguayan at around £60m, partly due to the fact he is under contract until June 2028.
