Liverpool and Arsenal have reportedly been handed a blow in their pursuit of Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.
The two Premier League giants have been frequently linked with the 24-year-old, who is said to currently have a release clause in the region of £60m.
Both clubs are allegedly considering an approach for the Poland international in the coming months, but according to The Express, Napoli will go all out to keep the player in Serie A.
The report claims that the Italian side want to reward Zielinski for his form during the early stages of the new season, with nine start and four substitute outings having been made in the top flight and the Champions League.
Zielinski currently has a contract which lasts until 2021, but it appears that Napoli want to extend that with a significant pay-rise in order to see off any interest in his signature.
