Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly prepared to battle it out for the signature of Olympiacos centre-back Pape Abou Cisse.
The 26-year-old is approaching his five-year anniversary as an Olympiacos player - going out on loan to Ajaccio and Saint-Etienne in that time - and he has totalled 105 appearances for the Greek giants.
Cisse has made a bright start to the new campaign with two goals from 13 games in all tournaments, while he has also kept three clean sheets in five Greek Super League matches alongside ex-Arsenal man Sokratis.
Cisse's performances have not gone unnoticed from elsewhere, with the Daily Mail claiming that Liverpool and Arsenal are both weighing up approaches for the 6ft 5in centre-back.
The report adds that Everton are also keeping a close eye on Cisse's performances, but Liverpool are currently at the head of the queue for the four-cap Senegal international.
Cisse's existing deal with Olympiacos is due to run until the end of the 2023-24 season.
