Carl Jenkinson, Joel Campbell 'absent from Arsenal squad for pre-season tour'

Unai Emery has reportedly left Carl Jenkinson and Joel Campbell, as well as three other fringe players, out of his 25-man squad for Arsenal's upcoming friendlies.

Unai Emery has reportedly informed Carl Jenkinson and Joel Campbell that they will not take part in Arsenal's pre-season trip to Singapore.

The duo are the highest-profile of the Gunners' five absentees, according to the London Evening Standard, as fellow fringe players Chuba Akpom, Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Krystian Bielik have also been omitted.

Arsenal are taking a 25-man squad to the Far East for their International Champions Cup friendlies against Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, but the aforementioned quintet have failed to make the cut.

Reine-Adelaide and Bielik are said to have been lined up for loan moves, while Jenkinson, Akpom and Campbell could be sold in the next three weeks.

Outcast striker Lucas Perez is a part of the travelling party, meanwhile, having impressed Emery in the early stages of pre-season.
