Hannover's president Martin Kind has revealed that his club are keen to sign Arsenal defender Johan Djourou on a loan basis.
The 25-year-old has made just two appearances for the Gunners this season, neither of which have come in the Premier League.
However, despite his lack of game time, Kind has admitted that Hannover have held talks with Arsenal over a switch for the Switzerland international.
"I am able to confirm that we are very interested in bringing Johan Djourou to the AWD-Arena," Kind told Bild. "He is on our shortlist of names and there have been some concrete talks with Arsenal going on.
"We make no hasty decision. But within the next two days it's possible that something happen."
Djourou's contract at the Emirates Stadium is due to expire in the summer of 2015.
