Report: Nottingham Forest win race to sign Arsenal's Chuba Akpom on loan

Championship side Nottingham Forest will reportedly sign Chuba Akpom on loan from Arsenal.

Nottingham Forest have reportedly won the race to sign Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom on loan for the rest of the season.

Several Championship sides were believed to be interested in the 19-year-old, but he will sign with Forest, according to the Daily Star.

Akpom, who signed a new four-and-a-half year contract with Arsenal last month, has made seven substitute appearances for the Gunners this season, but is yet to score his first goal for the North London outfit.

Forest are expected to complete the deal in the next day or so as the emergency loan window closes at 5pm tomorrow.
