Football rumours from the media

Norwich's Max Aarons is the subject of transfer rumours.

What the papers say

Tottenham are plotting a £15million bid for Norwich teenager Max Aarons, The Sun reports. Spurs are among a string of clubs tracking the 18-year-old and are considering a formal offer, the paper says.

Watford are eyeing up Nice star Adrien Tameze as a potential replacement for Abdoulaye Doucoure, the Daily Mail claims. The paper says Watford are concerned they will lose Doucoure to Paris St Germain next month, and are looking to make contingency plans, having already made enquiries about Tameze.

Celtic have launched a £6million move for Belgium international Timothy Castagne, according to the Daily Mail. The right-back has emerged as a potential replacement for Mikael Lustig, who is a target for Swedish side AIK, the paper says. But Serie A outfit Atalanta, where Castagne is under contract until the summer of 2020, could be reluctant to sell him, the paper adds.

Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to offer Isco and Mateo Kovacic to Chelsea as they bid to sign Eden Hazard. The Metro says reports in Spain suggest the Champions League holders are leading the race for Hazard and are willing to submit an enticing offer.
