Ever Banega agent 'spotted in London' as Arsenal talks continue

Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the £18m signing of Ever Banega as the Sevilla midfielder's agent is in London discussing personal terms with the Gunners.

The agent of Ever Banega is reportedly in London discussing terms with Arsenal over a January transfer for the Sevilla star.

Gunners boss Unai Emery is on the lookout for a new midfielder following the news that long-serving ace Aaron Ramsey is to leave on a free at the end of the season.

Emery has his heart set on a move for Banega, with whom he previously worked at Valencia and Sevilla, and Mundo Deportivo suggests that talks have stepped up over the past couple of days.

Banega is said to have changed his representative in a bid to seal a move away from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, and there is hope that an agreement over wages can be reached.

Arsenal have supposedly been informed that the Argentina international has an £18m buyout clause inserted in his Sevilla contract, leaving only personal terms to be thrashed out.

The Gunners have already added Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi to their midfield ranks since Emery took charge last summer.
