Emiliano Martinez has acknowledged that he has no desire to remain as backup goalkeeper at Arsenal.
After Bernd Leno sustained a season-ending knee injury in June, Martinez made 12 successive appearances in all competitions, a run of games which saw the Gunners win the FA Cup.
While first-choice Leno is due to return at the start of next season, Martinez has insisted that he is not prepared to return to the substitutes' bench.
Speaking to Continental, the 27-year-old said: "I have shown the club that I can play for them and when I return next season I need to have more games. That is the only way I will stay at Arsenal.
"My target is to consolidate my place with Arsenal and to reach the Argentinian national team as number one. I won't stop until I get that and if I don't play for Arsenal, then clearly I would move on."
Martinez has two years remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
