Julian Draxler wants Schalke 04 stay

Julian Draxler says that he wants to remain with Schalke 04, despite speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal.

Schalke 04 midfielder Julian Draxler has said that he would like to remain with the club, despite being linked with Arsenal.

The 20-year-old was reportedly close to sealing a move to the Emirates Stadium during the January transfer window, but the proposed deal fell through.

"I have no absolutely no intention of leaving Schalke this summer," the Germany international told Bild.

"I have no doubts that there will be plenty of speculation this summer, but it is very likely that I will play for Schalke again next season."

Draxler is contracted to Schalke until 2018.
