Report: Arsenal set to give Joel Campbell new deal ahead of Villarreal loan

Arsenal are reportedly poised to hand Joel Campbell a new contract before he joins Villarreal on loan as part of the deal that will bring Gabriel Paulista to the Emirates.

Striker Joel Campbell is poised to sign a new contract with Arsenal before joining Villarreal on loan, according to reports.

The 22-year-old has become frustrated by his lack of playing time this season, and it has been suggested that he will be sent to El Madrigal as part of the deal to bring defender Gabriel Paulista to Arsenal.

The Metro claims that Campbell will move to the La Liga club until the end of the season, but Arsene Wenger still has him in his future plans and has offered him a new contract.

Costa Rican international Campbell has made 10 appearances for the Gunners this season.
