Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly identified Bayer Leverkusen's Lars Bender as his top summer transfer target.
The 64-year-old is said to be desperate to sign a midfield general to strengthen his squad, and believes that the German international would add some physical presence to the Gunners' side, according to The Mirror.
Bender would join German stars Per Mertesacker, Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski at the Emirates Stadium.
Bender has featured 33 times for Leverkusen this season in all competitions.
