Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender will reportedly become a target for Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
The Gunners are expected to try to improve their squad after falling short in the Premier League and Champions League since the turn of the year.
According to The Metro, it is being reported in Germany that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is an admirer of the 24-year-old, and he could make a bid of £17m at the end of the season.
Bender, who is also said to have attracted interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid, could replace Spaniard Mikel Arteta.
