Talks between Arsenal and Juventus over a loan move for Brazilian midfielder Arthur have reportedly broken down.

Discussions between Arsenal and Juventus over a loan move for Brazilian midfielder Arthur have reportedly broken down in the final stages of the January transfer window.

The Gunners are said to be keen to bring the 25-year-old to the Emirates Stadium before the end of the month to boost their midfield options for the rest of the campaign.

However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between the two clubs have 'collapsed', and it is unclear whether the deal can be revived at this stage.

Arthur has made 15 appearances for the Old Lady during the 2021-22 campaign, including nine outings in Serie A, having missed the start of the season through injury.

The South American has made 47 outings for the Turin giants in all competitions, meanwhile, since arriving from Barcelona in September 2020.

Juventus are also allegedly attempting to offload Aaron Ramsey before the end of the transfer window, with Burnley thought to be interested in the Wales international.
