Juventus midfielder Arthur has reportedly agreed terms over a potential loan transfer to Arsenal.
After Sunday's goalless draw with Burnley, boss Mikel Arteta acknowledged that the Gunners were in the market for new players ahead of the end of the January window.
While the Spaniard hinted at difficulties in getting deals over the line, it appears that they have made headway in their efforts to bring in a fresh face in midfield.
According to 90 min, the Premier League outfit have agreed personal terms with Arthur, who they wish to sign on a straight loan deal.
The report claims that Arsenal are willing to pay the Brazil international's wages in full, something which is necessary if Juventus are to entertain a short-term agreement.
Aston Villa's interest in Rodrigo Bentancur may allegedly put the transfer at risk, however, with Juventus against losing a third midfielder when Aaron Ramsey is already on his way out of Turin.
