Arsenal boss Unai Emery is reportedly considering blocking a loan exit for Eddie Nketiah.

The 20-year-old made nine first-team appearances for the Gunners last season, following on from his 10 outings during the 2017-18 campaign.

Nketiah has also been heavily involved in Arsenal's preparations for the new season, finding the back of the net in the friendlies against Bayern Munich and Fiorentina.

According to The Sun, the striker was heading for a loan spell at Bristol City, but Emery could now decide to keep hold of the England Under-21 international.

The Gunners will round off their preparations for the new campaign against Barcelona on Sunday night.

A tough start to the 2019-20 season will see the capital giants travel to Liverpool and host Tottenham Hotspur in two of their four Premier League games ahead of the September international break.
