Arsenal are reportedly ready to join the race to sign Reading youngster Danny Loader, who has just a year remaining on his contract.

Reading youngster Danny Loader has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Arsenal.

The 18-year-old has already made 21 appearances in the Championship, but the striker has just one year remaining on his contract at the Madejski Stadium.

Reading have indicated that they wish to extend Loader's stay at the club, although the prospect is said to be keeping his options open due to the level of interest in his signature.

According to Goal.com, Arsenal have decided to join the race, with Unai Emery in the market for new players in the final third.

A wide range of clubs have been linked with Loader, and the likes of Chelsea and Juventus could also look to secure a deal in the coming weeks.

Leicester City, Southampton, Lille and Rennes are allegedly monitoring the situation.
