Arsenal are reportedly willing to hand Santi Cazorla an opportunity to return to the Emirates Stadium.
Earlier in his career, Cazorla enjoyed a six-year spell with the Gunners, one which was hindered by persistent injury problems.
Cazorla eventually left for Villarreal in 2018 without being able to say a formal goodbye to the Premier League outfit, a disappointment which he has addressed in recent months.
However, according to the Evening Standard, Arsenal are open to holding discussions with the 35-year-old over a return of some kind.
As it stands, it is unclear whether the veteran would be provided with a testimonial game or an active role in Mikel Arteta's squad.
Cazorla and his Spanish compatriot were teammates in North London before Arteta's retirement in 2016.
