Arsenal reportedly rule out the possibility of selling Alexis Sanchez to Premier League rivals Manchester City this summer.

Arsenal have reportedly decided to reject any approaches for Alexis Sanchez from Premier League rivals Manchester City this summer.

City are thought to be the frontrunners for Sanchez's signature due to their willingness to meet the Chilean's £400,000-a-week wage demands, with the forward having so far rejected offers of a new deal from Arsenal.

Sanchez is heading into the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and if they are unable to come to an agreement over an extension then Arsenal must decide whether to cash in on the 28-year-old or risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.

However, The Express reports that Arsene Wenger has ruled out selling him to a direct rival and would prefer to keep him for another season rather than allow him to join Man City.

Wenger is hopeful that Paris Saint-Germain will follow up their interest with a concrete offer, while Bayern Munich have also been linked with Sanchez in the past.

Sanchez, who played under current Man City boss Pep Guardiola at Barcelona, scored 30 goals and created 15 more across all competitions last season.
