Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Arsenal.
Despite the financial restrictions allegedly in place at the Emirates Stadium, it was recently suggested that Mikel Arteta may be given the freedom to make a number of additions.
According to Le 10 Sport, that has led to the Gunners making contact with Marseille regarding the availability of Sanson.
While the 25-year-old is regarded as a key man at the Stade Velodrome, the Ligue 1 outfit are prepared to listen to offers due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.
Sanson also has just two years remaining on his contract, putting Marseille in a position where they may look to maximise any transfer fee.
Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with the player in the past.
