Arsenal have explored the possibility of signing Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch on a free transfer deal, according to a report.
The Austrian's contract is up at the end of the 2021-22 season, and with no renewal agreed so far, he is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs.
As a result, a number of clubs are said to be monitoring the 26-year-old's situation, with The Telegraph reporting that Arsenal are one of the sides interested in striking a deal.
The report also suggests that Premier League rivals Everton and Leeds United, as well as clubs from both Germany and Spain, are also said to be interested in a move ahead of the summer transfer window.
Usually occupying a central midfield role, as well as deputising in a back three for Hoffenheim on occasion, Grillitsch has made 18 Bundesliga appearances so far this campaign.
The Austria international joined Die Kraichgauer in the summer of 2017, making the move from Werder Bremen on a free transfer.
