Arsenal have reportedly decided to increase their attempts to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that the two clubs had reached an impasse in negotiations, while Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claimed that a deal for the player was 'not close'.
However, according to Bild, Arsenal have now raised their bid to £50.9m, having previously made an offer for the Gabon international in excess of £48m.
The report claims, however, that the Gunners are still short of Dortmund's asking price, which is said to be in the region of £61.5m.
Aubameyang allegedly wants to seal a switch to the Emirates Stadium, while Dortmund want a swift conclusion to negotiations in order to focus their attentions on upcoming matches in the Bundesliga.
Olivier Giroud has been suggested as a possible makeweight in any transfer.
