Report: Arsenal withdraw Loic Remy interest

Arsenal reportedly pull out of a late deal to sign Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, leaving Chelsea as the frontrunners for the Frenchman's signature.

Arsenal have withdrawn their interest in Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, according to reports.

The Gunners had allegedly lodged a bid for the 27-year-old forward on Saturday night, triggering the Frenchman's £10.5m release clause.

However, BBC Sport claims that the North London outfit have now pulled out of the deal, leaving Chelsea as the frontrunners to sign the former Newcastle United loanee.

Remy was expected to join Liverpool earlier in the summer, but he reportedly failed a medical at Anfield.
