Arsene Wenger has reportedly singled out Porto striker Jackson Martinez as the man to strengthen his attacking options at Arsenal next season.
The Gunners are said to have already opened talks with the Portuguese club over the sale of the 21-goal forward, who has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in recent weeks.
A report in The Express suggests that Arsenal will now look to complete a £24.7m deal for Martinez, with the same publication quoting Porto president Nuno Pinto da Costa as saying: "He's a player we want to keep, but we cannot stop someone paying the clause.
"Jackson went on vacation and so when he returns we will try to renew his deal just like last year."
Arsenal are also rumoured to be interested in signing Barcelona forward Pedro.
