Carlo Ancelotti: 'Alvaro Morata wants to leave'

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti reveals that Alvaro Morata wants to leave the Bernabeu this summer.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Alvaro Morata wants to leave the Bernabeu this summer.

The Spanish Under-21 international scored eight times for Los Blancos last season, but struggled to gain a regular run in the team.

A number of European clubs, including Arsenal and Juventus, have been strongly linked with a move and Ancelotti has admitted that a departure is on the cards.

"The player wants to play more minutes and the club agrees. If he could find the chance of playing it would be good that he had the chance for a year," AS quotes Ancelotti as saying.

"If Morata goes then we'll have to think about signing a similar striker with the same characteristics, a youngster."

Wolfsburg have also been credited with an interest.
