Robin van Persie scores twice as Arsenal come from behind to beat Norwich 2-1 at Carrow Road.

Arsenal came from behind to beat Norwich 2-1 at Carrow Road due to the goalscoring exploits of Robin van Persie this afternoon.

The Dutchman continued his phenomenal form by netting in each half to move the Gunners level on points with London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea in the Premier League table.

Steve Morison slotted calmly past Wojciech Szczesny to put the home side ahead after Per Mertesacker's clumsy mistake on the edge of his own area allowed the Welshman in on goal.

Morison's opener came against the run of play as it was the visitors who had all the early pressure, but Van Persie wasted two great chances.

Russell Martin twice cleared off the line to prevent the Gunners levelling, firstly denying Theo Walcott and then heading clear after Van Persie's headed effort had lobbed Canaries stopper John Ruddy.

Walcott was a constant danger to the fragile Norwich defence and it was he who was the creator when Arsenal eventually equalised.

The England winger eased past Mark Tierney before squaring the ball to Van Persie, who tapped in from close range.

It was first-half hero Martin who was at fault for Arsenal's winning goal, as he gave away possession on the halfway line.

Alex Song then picked up the ball and threaded in Van Persie, who chipped Ruddy to complete the comeback.

Paul Lambert turned to talisman Grant Holt but Norwich could not find an equaliser as the visitors comfortably hung on to claim the three points.
