Arsene Wenger reveals that Gervinho picked up a worrying ankle injury during Arsenal's victory over QPR.

Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is concerned by the ankle injury picked up by Gervinho in Arsenal's 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.

The Ivorian lasted just 10 minutes after his introduction as a substitute before being stretched off and Wenger has conceded that the prognosis does not look promising.

"It's an ankle problem and how damaged the ankle is we will have to wait 24 hours to know more but it doesn't look good," Wenger said.

Gervinho has scored five goals in 11 Gunners appearances this season.
