England midfielder Jack Wilshere will make his first Arsenal start in 14 months for the visit of Queens Park Rangers.

Jack Wilshere will make his first Arsenal appearance in over 16 months this afternoon when Queens Park Rangers visit the Emirates Stadium.

The England midfielder returned to training last month after suffering from a series of knee and ankle injuries, and manager Arsene Wenger has deemed him fit enough to make his first-team comeback against the Hoops.

Bacary Sagna also returns from the sidelines to replace Carl Jenkinson at right-back, while Olivier Giroud is preferred to Theo Walcott and Gervinho in Wenger's forward three.

Rangers boss Mark Hughes makes just one change as they bid to end their winless start to the campaign against their London rivals.

Club captain Park Ji-Sung is not included in the 18-man squad, with Shaun Wright-Phillips recalled on the right wing.

Arsenal: Mannone, Sagna, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Santos; Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey; Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud

QPR: Cesar, Bosingwa, Mbia, Nelsen, Traore; Wright-Phillips, Diakite, Granero, Hoilett; Taarabt; Zamora
