Arsene Wenger: 'November will decide Arsenal title chances'

Arsene Wenger says that November will give Arsenal an indication of whether or not they can win the Premier League title.

Arsene Wenger believes that Arsenal will have a clear indication of whether or not they can win the Premier League title by the end of November.

The Gunners currently sit five points clear at the top of the table following a 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium over rivals Liverpool on Saturday evening.

Arsenal travel to Manchester United and Cardiff City in the coming weeks either side of hosting Southampton, and Wenger feels that he will learn more about their pursuit of the league crown following those matches.

"After the Aston Villa game, if I had told you that [this would happen] I would have to run away because you would have killed me," Wenger told the club's official website. "It shows you that things can change quickly but that should as well alert us that it can go the other way.

"We must keep good focus, continue to develop our team as there's room for improvement. At the moment, with 10 games played, you can say 25% of the season [has gone].

"You see the first tendencies and trends but it's still not settled. By the end of November you will have a clearer idea."

Arsenal travel to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday.
