Wenger: 'No reason for Arsenal to panic'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that there is no need for his side to panic following their 2-2 draw with PSG, making it three games without a win for the Gunners.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that there is "no reason to panic" after his side were held to a third consecutive draw by Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

The Gunners have traditionally struggled in November in recent seasons, and that has been the case again this year with just one win from four games seeing them drop to fourth in the Premier League table and putting them on course to finish second in their Champions League group.

Arsenal are still unbeaten in 18 matches across all competitions since the opening day of the season, but Wenger admits that his side have lost some of their momentum in recent weeks.

"We have not lost, but we have lost a winning momentum a little bit, yes. But we played against a good team as well," he told the club's official website.

"No [I will not be glad when November is over]. I believe that I have to be careful about the choice of my words because when I say 'stuttering' it comes back in the next press conference. Look, I think there is a special spirit in the squad and the consistency of the results. We are unbeaten for 18 games.

"Sometimes you go through a spell, when you have such a long momentum, where we win a bit less. It's down to us to continue without losing a game but as well to transform the draws now into wins. But there is no reason to panic."

Arsenal have two more games in November - against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday and Southampton in the EFL Cup three days later.
