Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he was relieved to see his side record a 3-1 win over Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Joel Campbell, Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey earned the Gunners a welcome three points in the Premier League, and Wenger has revealed that he was impressed with how his side dealt with a disciplined performance from their opponents.
The Frenchman told BBC Sport: "This Premier League is a battle. You have to give credit to Sunderland who were well organised and always dangerous on the break.
"It could have been one of those days, but the mental aspect was good and we kept concentration. Joel Campbell also scored against Swansea and since he has come into the side his contribution is very positive.
"We have to keep winning games and collecting points and hope that Leicester slip up."
Arsenal sit two points adrift of leaders Leicester in the league table.
