Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says that Jack Wilshere suffered no reaction following his return to action on Monday.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has refused to get carried away with Jack Wilshere's return to action.

The 20-year-old returned from injury in the club's Under-21 clash with West Bromwich Albion on Monday, but Wenger was guarded when discussing the youngster.

"He came through it all right. There was no reaction. We are pleased but it is now down to taking the right time to ease him slowly back," he told reporters.

"We are all very happy, and he especially must be exceptionally happy, but he has been out for 14 months."

Wilshere has suffered with a host of knee and ankle injuries in recent months.
