Walcott: 'We'll upset Spain with our pace'

Theo Walcott believes that England have a chance of exploiting Spain's weaknesses in the international friendly at Wembley tomorrow.

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott believes that England are capable of getting a result against European and world champions Spain.

The two sides go head to head in an international friendly at Wembley tomorrow, with Spain being the favourites to snatch at victory on English soil.

"I haven't really seen their defence attacked with so much pace and at this moment in time the England team has so much pace," Walcott told Arsenal's official website. "Hopefully we can upset them with that.

"We know Spain will have a lot of the ball, we expect that from the top teams, so we need to be calm and patient and make sure there are no gaps in our team."

Despite the 22-year-old's desire to beat his Spanish opponents, the former Southampton player admires their style of play.

"The way they play football is beautiful to watch," he added. "They just seem to blow teams away, they are classy, they look great on the ball. And it's not just about the way they play, they carry themselves very professionally off the pitch and that's very important.

"Going into tournaments they are not fazed by any team, they believe they can beat anyone and that's the stage England want to get to."

Meanwhile, Three Lions boss Fabio Capello has confirmed the Frank Lampard will captain the side in place of rested John Terry.
