Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has revealed that Arsenal's defeat as Queens Park Rangers "really helped" his team.
The Gunners fell to a 2-1 loss at Loftus Road on Saturday, giving Spurs the chance to go level on points with them in the table.
Harry Redknapp's men took their opportunity with a 3-1 win over Swansea City.
The Dutchman said that his teammates are confident of beating Arsenal into third place.
"Of course we are confident we can finish third, but after a 10-point lead now we are level," The Mirror quotes Van der Vaart as saying. "If we play like we did on Sunday, we have a good chance.
"Is it Arsenal's turn to feel the pressure now? I saw some highlights of their game at QPR and that really helped us. I hope they are also getting nervous."
Van der Vaart scored the first goal in the victory over Brendan Rodgers's side.
