Mesut Ozil injury fears eased for Arsenal

Mesut Ozil could play for Arsenal this weekend after it was revealed that his injury sustained playing for Germany was not serious.

Arsenal have been handed a boost ahead of their clash with Norwich City this weekend with the news that star man Mesut Ozil could be fit to play.

The Gunners were dealt a worrying blow on Tuesday when the German was forced to limp off with a knee problem and head straight to the dressing room during his country's spectacular 5-3 over Sweden in Group C.

However, Bild claims that Ozil only suffered a bruised knee and could possibly feature for Arsenal if required on Saturday at the Emirates.

Despite this, manager Arsene Wenger could rest the 25-year-old for the match due to the likely return of Santi Cazorla from injury, which could result in a like-for-like swap in midfielde.

Ozil scored and picked up an assist during Germany's victory.
