Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain responds to Roy Keane comments

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain insists that the Arsenal players are serious about winning trophies, following comments made by former Manchester United man Roy Keane.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has insisted that the Gunners are serious about winning trophies, following comments made by Roy Keane.

Former Manchester United captain Keane claimed over the weekend that a number of Arsenal players are "more interested in selfies" than winning the Premier League title.

However, Oxlade-Chamberlain has hit back at Keane, stating that the Arsenal players are professional in their work and determined to win the biggest prizes.

"We're serious about winning trophies," the England international told ESPN.

"Personally and I can speak for the rest of the squad, we've been serious every single year I've been at the club about winning trophies. You can see that on the pitch when we're playing, through the season.

"A lot of people don't see when we lose and go through tough times how upset and disappointed we are. We've always wanted to win trophies and in the last years we've won a few. This season we want to go that one better."

Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the winning goal as Arsenal beat Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday.
