Arsenal youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain admits that he is looking forward to the "challenge" of the North London derby against Tottenham.

Arsenal youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has admitted that the London derby will be a "challenge" as the Gunners prepare to face Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

The 18-year-old, who scored in his European debut midweek, has claimed two goals so far in his Arsenal career.

While the former Southampton striker is in contention to feature in the North London clash, he admits that he is taking it in his "stride".

"I obviously haven't been involved in a North London derby yet but the boys have all been telling me what a massive occasion it is," Oxlade-Chamberlain told the club's official website.

"If I am on the bench or in the starting lineup, I'll just be happy to be there and I'll give my all to help the boys out and try and get another win to build on our momentum.

"I have heard the boys say it's a hostile environment [at White Hart Lane] but it's a new challenge for me. I am just going to keep taking it all in my stride and keep learning from everything I see."

Last season's derby at White Hart Lane ended in a 3-3 draw.
