Alvaro Morata vows to fight for Real Madrid place

Alvaro Morata vows to win a regular first-team spot for Real Madrid this season.

Alvaro Morata is confident that he has the ability to gain a regular first-team role with Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a loan move to both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, although the Spanish outfit are believed to have rejected the interest from the English duo.

Morata has struggled for opportunities this season, but the Spain Under-21 international has vowed to continue to work hard at the Bernabeu.

"Last season I played 17 games and now I feel more important," Morata told Sportium. "My goal is to keep learning, I am young and I have a long way to go. It is a privilege to share a dressing room with the best players in the world.

"To train every day with them helps you to grow a lot, it's like doing a master's degree at the best club in history. I believe I have responded well whenever I have been called upon."

"To play for Real Madrid it is not enough to just finish well. You have to run a lot, press, look for gaps on the wing and be more complete. I am convinced that I will gradually gain more prominence."

Morata has scored twice for Madrid this season.
