Liverpool assistant manager Zeljko Buvac has reportedly been earmarked by Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintat to replace Arsene Wengerr.
The Reds announced on Monday that Jurgen Klopp's assistant had stepped down from his position until the end of the season due to "personal reasons".
According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal wish to appoint Wenger's successor as soon as possible after the season ends, and Mislintat has championed Buvac, his former colleague at Borussia Dortmund.
The report claims that Mislintat would like to see Arsenal adopt a three-man structure incorporating himself, Buvac, and head of football relations Raul Sanllehi to spearhead the club's long-term development.
Buvac is credited with devising Klopp's favoured 'gegenpressing' tactic and has also previously worked alongside the German at Mainz 05 and Dortmund.
