Gervinho hits back at Arsenal 'hate' comment claims

Roma striker Gervinho claims that he was misquoted over comments suggesting that he 'hated' former club Arsenal following two barren years at the Emirates.

Roma striker Gervinho has hit back at media reports claiming that he 'hated' Arsenal following his two unsuccessful years with the Gunners.

It had been suggested that the Ivory Coast forward was left resenting Arsenal over how manager Arsene Wenger treated him at the Emirates Stadium.

However, Gervinho posted a tweet on his personal page claiming that he was misquoted.

Gervinho scored nine goals in 46 Premier League appearances for Arsenal before leaving for Serie A.
