Santi Cazorla will reportedly be considered for a backroom role at Arsenal if Mikel Arteta becomes their new manager.
The Spaniard is the frontrunner to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium and, according to The Independent, he is keen to offer his former Gunners teammate a coaching position should he land the job.
Cazorla has been on the books are Arsenal since 2012 and remains a popular figure among the club's support, despite missing the last 19 months through injury.
Arteta, who is currently a coach under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, could reportedly be announced as Wenger's successor in the coming weeks.
Former Gunners midfielder Patrick Vieira is also said to have held talks about the position, but reportedly dismissed Arsenal's interest as a "token gesture".
